Hair as I've known it

For about 10 years I had a mohawk or other interesting hair arrangements.
I present to you the evolution of my hair from 1987-present day.

1987
Here I am in my pre-mohawk days at the age of 14. Notice the sweet innocent expression... yeah, right!
winter 1988
The beginning. I had half of the sides cut short. Trying to achieve that Cureish look, failed by smiling too much.
summer 1988
Cut it to a proper mohawk. My hair finally got so long that it would no longer fit in the photo. I had Sid Vicious in mind here.
fall 1988
Started high-school, and my mom "convinced" me to cut my hair. Make-up has given way to a bored look.
fall 1988
My first bleach. Came from of a compromise with mom after the hair-cut.
winter 1988-1989
Cut off the back of the mohawk and dyed it brown. Not one of my personal favorites.
spring 1989
Same hairstyle looked a bit better when it grew longer.
winter 1990-1991
Got a bit innovative and had half my head black and the other half white. One of my personal favorites.
spring 1991
same hair but longer and in the upright position. My fringe was so long it constantly got in the way.
fall 1991
Got infected by normality and cut it all off and dyed it red. The hair on the sides was the longest ever, at least an inch. The photo is unfortunately a b&w, so this is a colorized recreation.
spring 1992
The red was very tiring and didn't go with my green clothes, so I got it bleached white. I think this was supposed to be a Depeche Mode look.
fall 1992
This was a very comfortable hair-do actually. Not totally straight up, but more a vague backwards, if that makes sense.
fall 1994
Realized I would never be happy with normality and retreated to fully erect hair. The yellow tone is due to a chemical change in my favorite home bleach.
fall 1994
Short term silver color, especially for a space party in my dorm. The correct way to celebrate the human future in space, or something like that...
winter 1995-1996
Got inspired again, this time by a zebra pattern, but apparently looked more like a skunk. This hair-do made hairdressers on two continents nervous.
fall 1996
Bleached hair gets worn in the long run, so I decided to give the sides a rest and inverted the colors. This photo was part of an exhibition of photos taken by photographer Byron Carlisle for a photo exhibition.
winter 1997-spring 1998
This hair-do was missing for a long time. I finally found this long lost picture, but pondered leaving it off for obvious reasons. But for the sake of completeness, I am forsaking my last shred of dignity... The blond bits were dyed blue pretty much.
spring 1998-fall 1998
Reality finally hit. As you can see in this picture, I HAVE NO MOHAWK. Blasphemy. Sadness. Reason? I had finally graduated and had to look for a job.
fall 1998-summer 1999
First week of work, and the hair has gotten shorter. For a normal hair-do, it was allright I guess...
summer 1999
Got tired of the black hair, even though it was a nice solid color, so I decided to bleach it. Unfortunately the black color was a little too solid, hence the "interesting" color...
summer 1999-winter 2000
Finally got the last red out, but fried my hair! Do not overdo home bleach! I can not stress this enough! Shaved my sides again!!!
winter 2000-spring 2001
The hair frying experience was rough, so I decided to not bleach the roots again. I dyed the roots black instead. Not too easy to do without messing up the already blond parts, so I got a hair dresser to help me.
spring 2001-fall 2001
Figured the hair needed some colour, so I dyed the blond tips blue. I highly recommend Special Effects. That color is amazing! Unfortunately it also takes about half an hour to rinse out, and dyes the entire bath tub purple.
fall 2001-summer 2002
The hair got too long, so I cut it short and dyed it black, except for the front which I kept very long, and dyed red. Special effects again, still amazing! Discovered that the red doesn't stick to the bathtub as easily!
summer 2002-fall 2002
Got about 4 inches on the sides, hated it, and buzzed it down again. The back is still black, the now very long bangs are faded from blond to fire engine red. This is not the best picture though...
fall 2002-winter 2003
Got tired of the long bangs, always in the way, so I cut my first short straight bangs in oh, it seems like it's at least 15 years now. Front is two layers with different colours, and back is black with red streaks.
spring 2003-
summer 2003
Needed a job in the middle of the dot-com crash, so I briefly grew the hair out on the sides again. Never really liked it much...

fall 2003-winter 2004
Got tired of the black and  red and bleached the hair again.
spring 2004-summer 2005
Yey, finally back to the mohawk. A little wide, but what a relief!
fall 2005-winter 2007
Re-did the black stripe down the middle. Maybe it is a sign of age, but I seem to have become less experimental, sticking with an old favorite instead.
spring 2007-present
The mohawk felt too wide and flat, so I narrowed it off a bit, and let it grow out a little more.
